Meet the AP

Hello! Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year. I am Stephanie Nowell, the assistant principal at PCMS. This year marks my thirteenth year in education and my ninth year with Pamlico County Schools.

I am a proud alumna of Elizabeth City State University, where I earned a BS in Elementary Education with a concentration in Mathematics. VIKING PRIDE x3, GO VIKINGS! I also earned an MA in Curriculum & Instruction from Grand Canyon University. Currently, I am enrolled in East Carolina University's Pirate Leadership Academy, where I am working on my MSA degree.

When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Coach Nowell, our daughter Skylah (3.5), our dog Miami (12), family, and friends. I love Amazon Prime, fresh pineapples, mathematics, pizza, nature trails (but not bugs), and bright colors!

Word of advice: Life is such a gift! Be present and spend time doing the things that make you happy with the ones that make you laugh/smile!
