PCMS Science Olympiad Competes

The PCMS Science Olympiad team competed in the Middle School Science Olympiad that was hosted at East Carolina University. The North Carolina Science Olympiad (NCSO) is an NC State program with a mission to attract and retain the pool of K-12 students entering science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) degrees and careers in North Carolina. Every year NCSO hosts tournaments on university, community college, and public school campuses across the state.

Ms. Sheri Hale, PCMS STEM teacher and Science Olympiad coach, says the students have been practicing every Monday for two hours after school since the beginning of school. In preparation for the upcoming competition, they began meeting on Mondays and Wednesdays.
