Our middle and high school Career and Technical Education (CTE) teachers and students are re-establishing our local chapter of SkillsUSA!
SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers, and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. SkillsUSA serves middle school, high school, and college / postsecondary students preparing for careers in trade, technical, and skilled service occupations.
SkillsUSA hosts competitions and conferences for students to learn more about what is available to them in terms of training or what workplaces are currently looking for.
We are excited to say that we have started off our SkillsUSA re-establishment with a win! Our middle school team entered the CTE-themed pumpkin carving contest and won the middle school division for the state!
Our students entered a computer tech-inspired pumpkin carving, a health science-inspired pumpkin carving, and a welding-inspired carving.
The welding-inspired carving won! Our middle school SkillsUSA team will receive a $50 Lowes Gift Card! Congratulations to all who participated in this awesome experience!
