Ms. Hale's STEM classes have partnered with Ms. Michelle Smith (K-12 Educational outreach Coordinator) and the Fleet Readiness Center's FABLAB out of Cherry Point! Ms. Hale and her sixth-grade classes have started designing 3D shapes in TinkerCad.
Tinkercad is a beginner CAD program allowing students to learn the terminology and techniques of advanced 3D programs such as AutoCAD. With Ms. Hale's expertise, the students designed their names in Tinkercad and printed them out using 3D printers in the STEM lab.
Mr. Chris Rivera from the Fleet Readiness Center visited to give the students some tips on using TinkerCad and hints on how to improve their designs.
