Mr. David Falardeau » Pamlico County Middle School Band

Pamlico County Middle School Band

Hi, I'm Mr. Dave Falardeau.  I retired from the U.S. Navy in 1999, after twenty-two years of military experience, as a Senior Chief Musician.  While on active duty I served as trumpet, guitar and electric bass instrumentalist, music instructor and band leader in both the United States Marine Corps and the U.S. Navy.  While a military musician he served on Instructor Staff at the Armed Forces School, assistant leader and arranger of the U.S. Navy Showband, Director of the Great Lakes Brass Quintet, The Midwest Navy Showband, Director of the Navy Band Great Lakes Ceremonial Band, and acting Enlisted Band Leader of the Quantico Marine Band.  While serving as a military musician I had to opportunity to perform throughout the USA, Japan, Okinawa, South America, the Caribbean, and West Africa.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree from St. Leo University in 1996 and a Master of Arts in Teaching in Music Education degree from East Carolina University in 2003.  After receiving a Masters Degree, I taught band, chorus and general music in Harnett, Jones, and Stanly counties and Clay County Florida before coming to Pamlico County.  Currently I am the Band Director at Pamlico County Middle School and General Music Teacher at Pamlico County Primary School.

Mr. Durham, band director at PCHS, and I are building a program that is moving up and winning awards.  All students are welcome and encouraged to participate and please email if you have further questions.
